Locked out? A technician is on the way right now.
We reach the Hotel Zone, downtown and the airport in 20–40 minutes. Airbnbs, condos, hotel rooms and rental cars. We speak English, we take cards and US dollars.
Can't call right now?
Getting locked out is bad enough at home. In a city you landed in yesterday it is worse: you do not know the address of the place you are staying, your phone is inside, the host is asleep in another time zone, and the number you found on Google answers in a language you do not speak.
That is the call we take most often. We are a locksmith service in Cancun and we answer in English, around the clock, everywhere from the Hotel Zone to downtown, Puerto Cancún, Playa Mujeres and the airport rental lots. Vacation rentals, condos, hotel rooms, houses and cars. You tell us where you are, we tell you the price before anyone leaves, and we come.
Prices on this site are shown in Mexican pesos with a US dollar equivalent, because that is the honest way to do it: you pay in pesos, and the dollar figure moves with the exchange rate. You can pay in cash, by card, or in US dollars at the rate we confirm with you on the phone. Nothing is charged before the work is finished.
Almost every residential lockout is opened without damaging anything. We work the mechanism, not the door — which matters more than usual here, because if you are renting, a broken door is a deposit you are not getting back.

Shut out of an apartment, a condo, a villa or a hotel room. We open it without damaging the door, at any hour.

Forgotten combination, dead battery, jammed handle. We open in-room and in-wall safes without wrecking them.

Not a call center that passes you to a translator, and not a phone tree. The person who picks up speaks English and so does the technician who shows up. That is the whole reason this service exists: at two in the morning, in an emergency, the language barrier is the emergency.
We run mobile units rather than a single shop, so the arrival time depends on where you are, not on where we are. Downtown and the first kilometres of the Hotel Zone are about 20 minutes. Kilometre 20 of the boulevard, Playa Mujeres or Puerto Morelos take longer, and we tell you the real number on the phone before you agree to anything.
Tell us the type of door or the make and year of the car and we quote you the full price up front, night surcharge included if it applies. That is the number you pay. The technician does not start until you confirm it, and nothing is added at the end. The single most common complaint against locksmiths anywhere is the price that grows on arrival, when the customer has no way out.
The technician carries a card terminal. You can also pay cash in pesos or in US dollars at the day's rate, which we confirm on the phone before the technician leaves so there is no argument about it later. Payment happens when the job is done, never in advance.
A large part of what we do is vacation rentals: guests locked out at midnight, hosts who need the lock changed between stays, building managers who want one number to call. If you are the guest and the host is unreachable, say so when you call — it changes what we need from you to open the door.
Before we open a home we ask for something that shows you belong there: a booking confirmation with the address, a passport, a rental agreement, or the host confirming it by phone. It is two uncomfortable minutes, and it is exactly what you want us to do on the night somebody tries to get into the unit you are sleeping in.
We cover the whole municipality of Benito Juárez and drive out beyond it. Cancun is really two cities stitched together. There is the mainland — downtown, the numbered Supermanzanas and Regiones where people actually live — and there is the Hotel Zone, a 25-kilometre sandbar with one road down the middle. They have different buildings, different locks and very different arrival times, and we work both every day.
If you are somewhere that is not on this list, call anyway. We will tell you on the spot whether we can reach you and how long it will take, at no cost and with nothing to sign.
We also cover Kukulcan Boulevard, Cancun Airport Hotels, Huayacán Avenue, Región 200, Región 235, Supermanzana 21, Supermanzana 51, Cumbres, Nichupté Lagoon side.
We also serve: Puerto Morelos, Isla Mujeres, Leona Vicario.
Tell us where you are — the hotel, the condo tower, the kilometre marker on the boulevard, or the plaza you can see from where you are standing. Then tell us what happened: door shut behind you, key snapped in the lock, keys visible on the seat of the rental car. That is enough for us to know which tools to bring.
Before anyone leaves, you get the full price in pesos with the dollar equivalent, and a realistic arrival time. If it is not what you want to hear, that is fine — there is no charge for the call or the quote.
He gives you his name, confirms the same price on the spot, checks you belong there, and opens. A standard residential lock takes 5 to 15 minutes once he is at the door.
Before he leaves you lock and unlock it yourself to make sure nothing was damaged. Then you pay — card, pesos or US dollars.

Final price confirmed by phone before the technician leaves. Cash, card or US dollars.
These are market ranges for Cancun, meant to give you a number before you pick up the phone. What pushes a job to the top of its range is nearly always the same short list: high-security European-profile cylinders, doors that lock at more than one point, cars built after 2015 with an immobiliser, and the hour. A plain apartment door at noon sits at the bottom of the range; the same door with an anti-bump cylinder at two in the morning sits at the top. The dollar figures are converted at roughly 17.5 pesos to the dollar and will drift with the rate — the peso price is the real one. What does not change is that you get the complete price on the phone, surcharge included, before the technician leaves, and that the technician does not start until you confirm it.
Yes — the person who answers the phone and the technician who arrives. You will not be handed to a translator or asked to type into an app. It is the reason most of our customers call us instead of the first number on the map.
Yes, and it is one of the most common calls we get. We do need to establish that you are staying there: the booking confirmation showing the address and your name, plus your passport, is usually enough. If you can reach the host by message and they confirm it, that works too. What we cannot do is open a rental for someone who has nothing at all showing they are the guest.
Twenty to thirty minutes for most of the mainland and the first stretch of the Hotel Zone. Kilometre 15 to 20 of Kukulcan Boulevard is closer to forty, and Playa Mujeres or Puerto Morelos longer still. We give you the real number for your location on the phone rather than a slogan.
Both. The technician carries a card terminal, and cash in pesos or dollars is fine. If you are paying in dollars we agree the exchange rate on the phone before he leaves, so the amount is settled in advance. Payment is on completion — never before.
In most residential lockouts, no. The work is done on the mechanism from outside and the lock still works afterwards, which matters if you are renting and there is a deposit involved. High-security locks, keys snapped inside the cylinder and doors that have been forced before are the exceptions; in those cases we tell you the replacement price before starting and you decide.
You do not need their permission to have the car opened, but you do need to show it is yours to open: the rental agreement and your passport or driving licence. It is usually much faster and cheaper than waiting for the agency to send someone from the airport, and if the key is lost rather than locked in, we can cut and program a new one on the spot for most makes.
Yes, but tell the gate we are coming as soon as you hang up. Gated developments, resorts and condo towers are where the time actually goes — a technician can sit at the entrance for twenty minutes because nobody told security to let him in.
The price we quote is the total. Travel inside the municipality of Benito Juárez is included, along with the diagnosis, the labour and, where it applies, the parts. Outside the municipality — Puerto Morelos, Isla Mujeres — and past kilometre 10 of the Hotel Zone there is a distance charge, and it is already inside the figure we give you. If you decide not to go ahead, there is no charge for the call or the quote.
He gives you his name before he touches the door, and he asks you to prove you belong there. A locksmith who opens a home without asking anything at all is the one to worry about, not the one who asks.
Yes, and it is worth doing whenever a physical key has been out of your hands. Rekeying the existing cylinder is cheaper than replacing the whole lock and achieves the same thing: the old keys stop working. If you manage several units, call us and we will set it up so you are not renegotiating it every time.
Yes, cut and programmed to the car's immobiliser, at the car. Price depends on the make and the year — a 2010 key and a recent smart key are not remotely the same job — so we need make, model and year to quote you accurately.
Solid brass, or stainless steel with an anti-corrosion treatment. This is a coastal city and the air carries salt even when the door is under cover. An ordinary lock a few hundred metres from the water starts sticking within about eighteen months, and in the Hotel Zone or Puerto Juárez sooner. Treated hardware costs roughly $200 to $500 pesos more up front and lasts several times as long, so it pays for itself at the first replacement.
Yes. Twenty-four hours, every day of the year, holidays included. Nights, Sundays and public holidays carry a surcharge of $200 to $400 pesos, which is quoted to you on the phone as part of the total, never added on arrival.
If you can call, call — it is the fastest thing you can do. If you cannot, leave your name and a number and we will call you back.
